What normal "must have" featrues should be fixed/added first - sufficient for a baseline release?

Thanks for your input!

Having a proper API. It's been more than six months now since this was 'high priority'.

I have issues with the urls that change with the language and Javascript files. I'll check it and fix it. I corrected some issues in my CNPROG repo about the users_list template and url translation. There is more work to do with that

yes, I found about 10 of such instances - I use "ack" perl script to search. if you have it just type ack 'href="/' Evgeny ( 2010-03-31 00:05:58 -0500 )edit

I think proper support for I18N so that views are separated based on language instead of being mixed together would be high on my list of things to be fixed in Askbot.

Yes, the multilingual system is not working properly at this point. Evgeny ( 2011-07-26 10:35:20 -0500 )edit
I want to launch Askbot in Fedora with full support for multiple languages but I can't do it if say Chinese and Spanish is going to mixed with English in the same front page. Having support for groups/sub forums would be useful as well. A better multilingual is being requested to me by a few people in the Fedora community mether ( 2011-07-26 10:41:00 -0500 )edit

I'll add - on-screen news notification - right now you have to keep checking questions to see if you have new comments or answers.

Some basic css fixes, for example I hate that links are gray - there's no way to tell if some piece of text is a link of not.

HTML and CSS validation.

finally start using automated testing.

I think proper support for I20N so that views are separated based on language instead of being mixed together would be high on my list of things to be fixed in Askbot.
