I'm translating Askbot into german. Right now, I'm in the "privacy policy" section and had a few thoughts.
When getting serious about your Askbot site, remember that the texts that come with Askbot are neutral templates. Especially in regards to the privacy policy, you should proof-read them carefully whether they are in sync with what you want to do on your copy of Askbot, and if necessary customize them.
For example, if you plan to use Google Analytics or another 3rd party web site tracking service, this will probably render the following standard text in the privacy policy invalid:
None of the data that is not openly shown on the forum by the choice of the user is shared with any third party.
Don't forget, on your Askbot site, you are going to be ultimately responsible for what the texts say!
(This is probably a Text for the Wiki if it finds the necessary approval here.)
