When can we expect the next release, etc?

What is the time line for the next release of askbot? I am very interested in the user moderation features.
Also - how active is askbot development effort?

Hi, the version 0.6.7 will be out on Aug 14th was released on Aug 14th. You can track development activity here. New commits are made almost every day (usually > 100 lines at a time) activity was like this since July 2009 (but back then the project was a fork of CNPROG, it was not yet called ASKBOT).
My English fork of CNPROG changed names twice. At the beginning of 2010 it became OSQA then after about a month of active work this project was named askbot.
