regarding flags - I think it's best not to mix flags with negative connotation with positive - but you've got a very good point about the lack of choices in the flags. Evgeny ( 2010-09-18 13:41:46 -0500 )edit

Also would be nice if there were a way to provide a comment or other free-text explanation of why a post is being flagged.

two related suggestions:

  • make the list of flags configurable by the site administrator

  • instead, maybe change "flag offensive" to "flag inappropriate" -- that could cover the top three suggestions of @ccanonc (albeit with less precision, but also less work ;), and I think the "favorite" star already covers the last one.

EDIT: Oh, I see that answers can't be favorited, only questions, where as both can be flagged.
