I'm doing a Benchmark of different Q&A Open Source tools: 1. Shapado.com 2. qHub.com 3. QWench 4. osqa.net 5. Question2answer.org 6. AskBot.org

Between all aspects to value I include the existence of a Spanish translation.

  1. Does anybody know if exists an Spanish Translation for AskBot?
  2. How long could take translate AskBot from English to Spanish (more or less)?

Hi there, there is a Spanish translation that is 39% complete. It should take 1-2 days to finish it to a native speaker of spanish. I've translated CNPROG from Chinese in 3 days using google translate.

At askbot.org there is an interface, where trusted users can make the translations. Usually it is simple and fast to translate the messages on the first pass and then you would gradually fine-tune them "in context".

Don't forget to add "number of test cases" in the automated test suite into your comparison, it is an important metric of how well tested the product is.
