Currently, it is a command line driven process to add someone as a admin and it requires jumping through hoops a bit (finding out the id in the db etc) and I would prefer if the process was much more easier. Here is a proposal
The first person logs in via the web interface is automatically designated as the admin
The admin is allowed to add others as admin via the gui in the exact workflow as admins are allowed to add others as moderators
That's it.

I want to work on this feature request.
It would be useful to have some sort of clear ROADMAP on what features you are working on so that we can look into contributing patches for the ones that aren't a high priority for you personally. A list of tasks ordered by expected difficulty - easy, medium and long term for instance would be very helpful. I keep track of the main branch but I can't do that easily for the feature branches.
