which new features and fixes were implemented in version 0.6.79, compared to the older 75 version? I can't seem to find version updates history on the site

The most notable feature additions are:

better tag autocompleter (works in the middle of the list)
ask by email (experimental feature)
protection against cross site scripting

There were quite a few bugfixes too, the last one was reported yesterday (the fix is in 0.6.79)
