Is this site the support channel for the community?

I think StackOverflow is great, and being a SO clone only favors Askbot.

So I am thinking about starting to use Askbot.

I'll probably bump into newbie obstacles and have questions about that - questions related to basic installation problems like running a Askbot as a Windows service or binding to an specific port.

So, supposing such questions are not covered in documentation, I got myself wondering: is this the best "newbie" support channel? Or is there something like a mailing list?
