Badges: What happens when switching from bootstrap mode to a normal one?

Hello.

I recently discovered/realized something regarding switching from bootstrap mode to a normal one and I would like to share it with you. I am not sure if this is the expected behavior or not, but still need your opinion.

In live settings you can find the following:

Activate a "Bootstrap" mode Bootstrap mode lowers reputation and certain badge thresholds, to values, more suitable for the smaller communities, WARNING: your current values for Minimum reputation, Badge Settings and Vote Rules will be changed after you modify this setting.

Having this in mind, I realized that for certain badges, e.g. "Famous question" bootstrap mode requires 50 views and normal (or non bootstrap) mode requires 500 views.

After activating the normal mode, "Famous question" required 500 views (which is correct). However, people that had already won this badge with the previous threshold of 50 views, still have this badge in their profile. So, now, there are users that won "Famous question" for a question that has currently 75 views but this badge requires 500 views. This may be a little bit confusing for new users that try to understand how reputation/badge system works.

Having said that, I dont know what could be the solution and that's why I need your opinion. An alternative could be people to lose their badges, but still I am not sure if this is very nice.
