I don't see this feature now. I think on the one side it would be greate, because users could communicate on the other side it could be a spam problem.
But one could circumvent the spam issue if the user A would get the info that the user B whants to communicate with him. When he click ok, then he gets messages. If it turns out that the person is a spammer/stalker/ then A could change it back.

There is no "private messaging" feature yet, but the "inbox" view lists forum responses to your posts.
For moderators it also lists flagged messages, in the future releases there will be posts from the moderation queue as well.
