I see some strange behavior. When an user does not exist and he answers to some question, than he is forced to register. Thereafter we should see the answer, but I see only the a higher number of answers, not the answer itself.
Ok, well I don't know what causes the bug itself but I found a solution that worked for me.
Get to the regular Django admin page for your forum (not the special adminstrator page) by typing its url then /admin/. Then click on 'Posts', and find the missing posts. From there, you can manually assign a parent post (it seems to be missing), or just copy and paste the text into a 'new' answer.

todofixthis ( 2012-08-14 08:33:59 -0500 )editI have the same problem - I set up a 30-day trial for Askbot for my constraint programming class to use as a forum - teacher answered a question, then logged in - but the answer doesn't show. Even worse, the question has answers=1 and the teacher is no longer allowed to post his answer, as the system thinks he has already done so. However, there is definitely no answer showing! Any ideas?
Alex F ( 2012-08-16 01:58:12 -0500 )editAlex, I will look at this by Saturday, thanks for reporting the issue.
