2015-10-05 10:58:42 -0500 | marked best answer | rate limit user postings In order to mitigate scripted spam postings, it would be useful to have the ability to limit the number of new posts to one per minute or so with a time limit which should be configurable. That would really be helpful for Ask Fedora at this point since we have a persistent spammer |
2015-10-05 10:58:42 -0500 | marked best answer | miscounting of tags In Ask Fedora, if I search for tags that has "#" in them, I get https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/tags/?t=tag&query=%23&search= But most of the tags are not current anymore and seems to be miscounted. If you click on any of them, you are likely getting no results. Because of this, these tags get shown in autocompletions and aggravates the issue. Any solutions? |
2015-10-05 10:58:42 -0500 | marked best answer | Integrate with stopforumspam I would like to request integration with https://pypi.python.org/pypi/stopforumspam/. It would be helpful to stop some of the forum spam |
2015-10-05 10:58:39 -0500 | marked best answer | WYSIWYG doesn't seem to work I went to https://ask.fedoraproject.org/settings/FORUM_DATA_RULES/ and enabled this mode but it doesn't seem to work. Also there is a typo in here. It is called "WISYWIG" instead. Perhaps just expand it fully instead of using a acronym might admins might not understand. |
2015-10-05 10:58:39 -0500 | marked best answer | problem with converting answer into comment I originally requested this feature at http://askbot.org/en/question/2937/is-it-possible-to-convert-a-answer-into-a-comment-or-vice-versa/ Glad to see this implemented and we are using this at http://ask.fedoraproject.org however there is a problem. Let's consider a typical user 1) User asks a question 2) Someone provides a answer 3) Users says "thanks. it worked" or something similar as an answer 4) Someone with admin rights or whatever converts into a comment Problem: Comment gets associated with the question that the user asked instead of the answer that someone gave. How can we fix this? Ideally, there is some smartness built into the system and it would give me a option. |
2015-10-05 10:58:34 -0500 | marked best answer | Inline editing? Currently re-tagging is inline but editing is not. This is a annoyance. A lot more users would be inclined to edit if this is quick and easy. Inline editing is the way to go. |
2015-10-05 10:58:34 -0500 | marked best answer | auto linking of key terms For better integration, I want the user to be able to write say bug 12345 and automatically link to our bugzilla and other such use of key terms. What would be the best way to implement this? I am thinking, this should be generic enough that I can configure it in settings rather than patch Askbot locally. |
2015-10-05 10:58:34 -0500 | marked best answer | Ability to flag comments as offensive? Currently questions and answers can be flagged as offensive but not comments. Seems a obvious gap to fill |
