I went to download backup files for my hosted site just now, and I notice that I am unable to do so.

The link to the most recent backup file goes to the following URL:

http://expats.qa/backups/download/?name=expats_askbot_com-1359418214.tar.gz&time=1359426764

Note the value of the name parameter, which references the old domain name for the site (expats.askbot.com).

When I go to the above URL, I get a 404 error.

I tried changing the name parameter to match the new domain like so:

http://expats.qa/backups/download/?name=expats_qa-1359418214.tar.gz&time=1359426764

But when I do this, I get a 502 Bad Gateway error every time.

Is there a way (either in the main UI or in the settings interface) to view user accounts sorted in descending order by registration date (i.e., most recently registered first)?

I need to keep on top of new user registrations so that I can quickly identify and block spam accounts.

I just noticed this morning that on my hosted site, I get a 502 error when I visit the activity page for my profile:

http://expats.qa/users/1/todofixthis/?sort=recent

It seems to be just my account; if I go to another user's profile, it works just fine.

Googlebot found another bad URL:

http://expats.qa/get-editor/

When viewing it on my hosted site, I get an Nginx 502 Bad Gateway error.

I've been wondering for the longest time why I can't ever seem to find what I'm looking for when I search for questions on askbot.org. I think I finally figured it out.

I was doing a search for "feedback captcha" to see if anyone else has posted a feature request to add a captcha to the feedback form for anonymous users.

As expected, the search results were hit-and-miss. Some were on target, most were completely unrelated. But then I noticed something: none of the posts in the search results contained both "feedback" and "captcha"; each search hit referenced only one of the search terms.

I ran a quick experiment to test my hypothesis:

• "feedback captcha" - 51 results
• "feedback" - 46 results
• "captcha" - 6 results

This is counter-intuitive behavior for search. Adding more words to a search query makes it more specific, so it should result in fewer search results.

Using the above example, Suggestions for antispam measures? was the only question that matched both search terms — that should have been the only result when I searched for "feeback captcha".

I went to edit an answer that I had created to mark it as community wiki, but I noticed that the answer will not convert to CW, no matter how many times I edit it.

This only seems to apply when I edit a post; if I check the community wiki checkbox when I create the post. it becomes CW as expected.

This only seems to apply to answers, as I was able to edit this question and make it CW.

Looking at the revision history for a post, it seems like the disclosure triangle states are backwards:

Collapsed

Usually, the disclosure triangle is pointed sideways when the content is collapsed, and pointed down when the content is expanded.

Example from Mac OS X Human Interface Guidelines (emphasis mine):

Appearance and Behavior

A disclosure triangle is in the closed position (that is, pointing to the right) by default. When the user clicks a disclosure triangle, it points down and the additional information is displayed.

So just now I came across this question, which appears to be a duplicate of this question.

I saw that I had the ability to close the question, so I did so, marking it as a duplicate.

When I noticed that I was unable to indicate which post the question is a duplicate of, I tried to re-open the question.

However, even though I have well over the required 50 karma, I was unable to reopen the question:

Either I'm not reading the error message correctly (the > 50 karma requirement only applies to the post owner), or the karma check for reopening a question is not being done correctly.

Also, shouldn't the error message say "karma" instead of "reputation"?
