What is the advantage of showing the view count (seen x times)?
I wonder if the view count is necessary. Could you give me some reasons why we need it?

It is a measure of the questions popularity, but not very direct.
Old questions have more views naturally, so it's a measure of popularity and age, I would agree that it is not a very pure metric.
