Consensus —Handling down votes.
 
   
  
 
 
I've seen Down voting issue in many forums. They don't handle it transparently.
 
Things observed and reported by others too --
 
     
  • You get downvoted for no reason, may be personal reasons and competitors always downvote each others posts.

  • I've seen this happen in many online forums, HN and Reddit. 
    •  
 
And there is no way to handle this?
 
How should we tackle this kind of behavior? As this is increasingly happening in forums.

One way to handle it - 

whenever someone downvotes, let him send a message too - why he was downvoted + along his signature.
