Any plans for askbot to have widgets?

For example if a webmaster wanted to include a part of askbot on their site.

like this http://adventures.worldnomads.com/destinations/233.aspx

where it says Latest Q&A about Vietnam

OK I see what you mean. Will do by the end of January or earlier - at least in the basically functional form.

Wow awesome I think this would really set it apart from all the other forks :)

I agree this would be a much used feature. Most sites would want to feature latest questions on their main site. See other examples at: http://sikhnet.answerbase.com/Widgetbuilder.aspx

Done, please go to "settings"->"embeddable widgets" as admin for more instructions.

Could be better explained though.

Thanks. I'll have to get askbot installed first to be able to check this out. :)

If you'd like to try now, register at http://testme.askbot.com and I'll make you a site admin.

Thanks Evgeny, I registered on the test website. Will wait for your message so I can test the admin section. Thanks!

There is a problem with the encoding maybe. German "Umlaute" (öüä) don't works in the widget view. no utf-8 charset used? (sry, but i don't find a bug reporting page here :))

@Edur, thanks I will look into that, btw in the next release widgets will be re-worked. If you take code from the repository you can test out that functionality.
