Links in comments

I tried putting links in a comment in the ask.sagemath.org site using the standard markdown syntax [text](http://url.com/) but it consistently failed. I also tried using basic html, which also failed. I know that a url is automatically turned into a link, but that's not what I really want.

Since I don't have the reputation to test a comment here, I'll just ask the question:

How do you create links in a comment?

A markdown link to [google](http://www.google.com/) fails, but an automatically linked url http://www.google.com/ works!

There is no support for markdown in the comments yet. It must be minimal, for example headings should not be allowed. Added to feature requests.

Yeah, that would be great. Also being able to upvote comments would be nice, ala http://mathoverflow.net/. Why is this a larger font?

The font issue will go away with the next upgrade. Now you can add simple markdown to the comments. The comment upvoting is already solved, I will deploy it on your site today.

@Evgeny, Hi, I just pulled the latest from github to run it on my test instance and it seems markdowns are still not supported in the comments. Just checking if this feature has been scratched or not. Thank you
