Why is my inbox icon still red even when my inbox is empty?

So that little envelope icon next to my username which I assume changed color based on whether or not there was new "Inbox" items is stuck red. I cleared my inbox but the icon is still red (it used to be white)... what gives?

Yes, all my notifications are dismissed and it's still red

Fixed this, hopefully. Now the counts of seen/unseen responses are calculated more rigorously.

Hi, there is a way to fix this (for the site admin) by running a management command

python manage.py fix_inbox_counts

However I agree - this problem should not appear in the first place - will fix this asap.
