@Evgeny : Mysql will get new version in regular interval and Askbot can't just say use 5.0 only. Please let me know if there is any solution?

@Evgeny : Please give me proper instructions which could yield some results. From so many weeks I'm trying to get Askbot up first on localhost (already asked question, however no one bothers to answer/help) and then this alwaysdata. I've no clue what to be done now. Askbot wiki was updated long back, so I don't understand whether to follow it or not.

Everything was fine as given in wiki till I executed following command :

python manage.py syncdb

I get this error on alwaysdata shell :

from django.core.management import execute_manager

ImportError: No module named core.management

Please let me know how to debug this.

@Evgeny : (1) Database : Mysql 5.5.21 (2) Python 2.7.2 (3) Django 1.3.1 (4) I didn't compile/configured using the source code. This time around "pip install askbot" worked. So I followed the documentation given in askbot.com

I've successfully configured everything till this command : python manage.py syncdb

However when I execute next command : python manage.py migrate askbot then I get following error :

1091, "Can't DROP 'multiple'; check that column/key exists")

What could be the possible issue ?

Hi,

Before this I have tried PIP and Easy Install however I already raised a question asking why network issue is being shown.

After that I downloaded the tar file of askbot and did : python setup.py install, however it ends up saying :

I'm on Fedora 16. Its been quit a while that I'm trying to install Askbot.

I have tried same command on three different network, one with proxy and other two dedicated IP networks. Don't know whats the issue is. If more people are facing the same issue then documentation needs an update.

Even on fourth day since I encountered the issue, same output. Not able to understand why its happening? May please tell if "pip install askbot" works for others ?

I moved to different network and executed "pip install askbot" and got same output as shown above. Whats the issue ?
