thanks for your efforts mate but I still get the same problem.. and it's pretty much out of the box so I can't think I've done something wrong.. Usually those kind of things are getting done in few minutes , first time I had to hassle around that much.. anyway I'll keep on troubleshooting and I'll let you know if I succeeded something.. thanks again for your support Alexandros

unfortunately that didn't do the trick for my setup. I haven't done any customization or anything. out of the box pretty much. I still get the same url after I click "authorize app" and I get a 404 on twitter. I'm trying to figure out where does it pick that url that has the "api.twitter.com" instead of the "domain.com" in the url. thank you for the help so far !

I'm with you mate, that's what I want as well. I personally made 4 questions the last 4 days and I haven't received a single response from anyone around, staff or just member. That's not what I call active community but anyway yeah , let's wait and see. It looks like you've been longer around and probably know more.

sounds like a great idea. I'm suffering from the same problems. Askbot looks nice piece of software but in terms of documentation & support there's not much stuff around and that's a bit sad.

I followed all the instructions but I can't get the twitter login to work.

After I pass my twitter credentials it tries to log me in at a url that doesn't exist..

If I manually change the url it logs me in fine.

Do you know where I can alter this setting so the twitter login works fine?

I've tried sharing some questions to Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin but I get an error on all three attempts.

Is this a known bug and about to be fixed ? That gives the following error:

judging from the tag that Evgeny added, this is not there , at least not yet. that's a bit of a pity because I believe its a top priority for a social/public CMS and this feature has been around even in PhpNuke 20 years ago.. and it's default on osqa.. So i have to say I'm a bit let down as all the fancy django stuff are there but I miss a feature that is quite necessary from preventing your site becoming a mess by the spammers. I have now consider moving back to OSQA just for that reason.

I'm trying to configure askbot to allow only users with confirmed email address to be allowed to post in the forum.

That, to mainly fight spamming of course.
