2012-08-11 16:32:31 -0500 | asked a question | Can we hide accept button where it is not applicable? Hello, Is it really necessary to show the accept button where it is not applicable (i.e. visitor is not the OP or a moderator)? This is not a bug, but I believe hiding it would provide a better user experience. Sreenshots:

2012-07-27 15:26:41 -0500 | commented question | Where do deleted questions go? @Evgeny, If you follow stackoverflow model, a user will not be able to delete his question if that: - has an upvoted answer or, - has multiple answers (even if there are no upvotes), or - has been closed less than 48 hours ago (to allow for possible reopening) http://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/5221/#5222 Time is precious. When you are helping someone with your time, you normally won't like to see it wasted. That's what I'm saying. |
2012-07-27 15:17:11 -0500 | asked a question | Wrong original author in accept error message? Hello, If I try to accept an answer in anybody else's question, askbot (naturally) shows an error message. But instead of mentioning the OP's name who can accept, it shows the name who answered there. Bug perhaps? Screenshot: http://d.pr/i/vxzQ PS. @Evgeny, |
2012-07-27 15:05:39 -0500 | commented question | Where do deleted questions go? @Evgeny, I do hope this is a bug. Also, can OP delete his own question? Wouldn't that hold back participants to engage in future? It should be a moderator task. |

2012-07-27 04:18:42 -0500 | asked a question | Where do deleted questions go? Hello, If I delete a question, it becomes immediately invisible from lists. But its permalink can be used to view it again. What is the expected way of deleting questions? As an admin, how would I observe what moderators are deleting and possibly undo that? |
2012-07-27 04:15:05 -0500 | commented question | Is it possible to add new FAQ "scope"? And this feature request may also fit nicely with this one: http://askbot.org/en/question/8035/allow-admin-to-post-questions-under-faked-accounts/ |
2012-07-27 04:11:51 -0500 | commented question | Is it possible to add new FAQ "scope"? Even the faq option in stackoverflow doesn't work as expected, because when the goal is not to repeat a same question, you cannot possibly mark something as "frequently asked". I believe that's more of a manual task of moderators, and fits more as community wiki. I believe you face a lot of question regarding hosting under different environments (Apache, Nginx, WSGI, usgi, fcgi, gunicorn and what not). You could also take benefit from this feature. Is there any option to mark certain tags applicable by moderators? If all users start to tag faq in their questions, it'll soon be a mess. |
2012-07-27 04:04:26 -0500 | commented answer | Ability to remove "questions" part from URL? Thank you! Removing the nemuric ID part won't be necessary. If want to host askbot in a subdomain, I'll expect that it will start right from there, not in (virtual) question subfolder. Why is this default behavior? To fit with other django app perhaps? |

2012-07-26 10:16:42 -0500 | asked a question | Is it possible to add new FAQ "scope"? Hello, Is it possible to add a new "FAQ" scope right beside "All | Unanswered | Followed" on top of the page? Only admin/moderators can apply special "faq" tag to the questions they feel right (or, write it themselves). When using Askbot for providing support, it could be very beneficial and could save a lot of time. |

2012-07-22 17:49:32 -0500 | commented question | How to use Mozilla's unicode-slugify instead of unidecode? @Evgeny, Thank you so much! I believe we can wait for that period. :) |
2012-07-22 17:36:36 -0500 | commented question | How to use Mozilla's unicode-slugify instead of unidecode? @Evgeny, that'd be great. We are thinking to move permanently from our old forum to a QA a based platform for providing support, and most of our users write in Bengali. Can you give any estimation or roadmap when it'll be done? I'll appreciate some guidance so that I can do it myself and kickstart as soon as possible. |
2012-07-22 17:31:55 -0500 | commented question | How to use Mozilla's unicode-slugify instead of unidecode? Sorry, fixed the links. Well, I cannot compare both libraries regarding quality of code, support, number of users, but the use cases are definitely different. Whenever I tried askbot in Bengali, Unidecode just made my Jaw drop. Yes, it is much human friendly. But humans don't memorize permalinks, that's the job of search engine. And when people search something in languages other than English, they don't bother to transliterate that first (even if they do, it is less likely to be exact match of Unidecode converted value). That's why I was looking for a true Unicode replacement for the URLs. |

2012-07-22 17:08:50 -0500 | asked a question | How to use Mozilla's unicode-slugify instead of unidecode? Hello, For SEO causes, I want to use Unicode URLs instead of converted ASCII letters done by Unidecode. Seems like Mozilla's unicode-slugify (Github) is the right choice. How can I replace Unidecode with unicode-slugify in askbot? |
