2013-03-23 12:47:30 -0500 answered a question which static file will be sent when there is same name files in different skins?

It will always look in the active skin (chosen in settings) first. From there it goes to the common or default skin.

2013-01-11 00:17:03 -0500 commented answer Why so many open pull requests?

Thanks for your excellent answer. Maybe you could make a "Contributing" section in the readme that reminds people to add tests, etc.? In any case, you should let them know about the problem so they can address it :). Thanks! Hope to be contributing soon myself.

2013-01-10 16:34:50 -0500 asked a question Why so many open pull requests?

It seems that the Pull Request page has some important fixes, including an XSS vulnerability fix, that have been ignored. Why is that? Was the vulnerability fixed elsewhere? (If so, someone should close the request.) I thought anyone would be able to contribute to AskBot, and it seems that fixes like that ought to be merged in quickly. This is an actual concern I have over adopting AskBot.

Your work has been excellent so far, I just think some more transparency would make it a killer project.

2012-10-27 01:31:59 -0500 asked a question What's the current status of the default skin?

From the (possibly outdated) skin documentation:

...a redesign of default skin is pending. After the redesign your custom skins may be difficult to update.

and from a recent answer to a skin-related question:

As a side-note: we are not done yet with changing the way skins work, I think we will in the near future switch to the django's default template resolution methods.

For those who want to begin creating a custom skin in the near future (say 1-2 weeks from now, in my case,) what should we do? Will this potentially break a custom skin that we create now? What does the timeline look like on this happening?

As always, thanks immensely for your hard work.

2012-08-10 01:28:11 -0500 answered a question What to improve in the askbot theme?

First and foremost, something that works on mobile.

Less busy. More focus on content, less on style. Let everything breathe.

IMO the default font (ie of questions on the landing page) is much too stylized and distracting.
