BTW, I think I didn't receive an email notification about this post, even though I have "email me when there are any new answers" checked. I believe I actually don't receive any emails from Askbot. Nothing in my spam folder.

Sorry, it might answer the title of the question, but I meant for something a bit more - as someone who doesn't follow the github closely, where can I subscribe to get notifications of a new version? A blog/twitter account with major updates would be a great answer, but github alone isn't sufficient.

This cleaned up all my notifications, but not the count - I still see a red envelope and get a message "you have 4486 new responses". Could you update the snippet to reset this number? (preferably, just reset it to the actual number of responses and not just to zero).

Our RSS feed has "example.com" as the domain. Questions are rendered correctly in the feed, but the links are all wrong -> they point to links like

http://example.com/question/20623/can-i-put-a-spell-on-the-stack-without-casting-it

instead of

http://draw3cards.com/question/20623/can-i-put-a-spell-on-the-stack-without-casting-it

How can I fix this?

RSS auto-discovery links are incredibly useful tools for people & RSS readers to discover RSS feeds.

An Askbot site should include by default:

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS" href="http://fullsitedomain.whatever/feeds/rss/?">

After migration from Stack Exchange 1, I now have 4588 unread notifications (minor bug in the migration process I guess).

How can I delete them or mark them as read?

When I do it through the normal site interface, all the notifications that are currently seen (~ 20-30) are deleted.

A normal user can't accept an answer on another person's question. Still, he is shown the Vee icon, and when clicked it gives an error.

It's better not to show the icon in the first place.

@Evgeny - What about feature requests?

Yeah, we did test on a different domain (beta.draw3cards.com when the original site is draw3cards.com). However, I changed my local hosts file to point draw3cards.com to the IP of beta.draw3cards.com, and tried to login, and it still didn't work. This _could_ be because of something wrong on Google end, and might resolve itself when we do the actual migration...

Some general questions (Feel free to partially answer or refuse to answer any of these):

1. Is it a company? For-profit?
2. Has it raised any sort of funding? Is it paying salaries?
3. What is its current/planned business model? Where does/will it make money?
4. What are the company growth plans (personnel-wise)?
5. How much money does it make?

It seems to have a smaller user base than OSQA and Shapado. So, what positive things are going for Askbot that its competitors lack?
