German translation -- Do a split into "Du" and "Sie"?

I noticed, that the German translation of Askbot contains a mix of "Du" and "Sie" (for interested non-German speakers: In german you have the formal or polite form of addressing people saying "Sie können ..." or a more colloquial form "Du kannst... ").

In the first translation by pekka (askbot.org/en/question/2510/german-translation/ <- not enough karma to post links) he proposed

Use of formal "Sie" instead of informal "Du"

But in Transifex that seems to have diverged. So: Should we split up the Translation in "German (Du)" and "German (Sie)" as it is for example in Wordpress; or make the one translation there consistent?

I myself would go with the split-up variant, since it leaves the choice to the site admins, and for not-so-professional communities I think, "Du" is more appropriate, while for customer-relation-purposes "Sie" is the way to go. (And yes, I'd volonteer to do some work to get them split up :) )

A split would be the best solution. I'm using the "Du" form, but as you say there are many cases where "Sie" form is the better choice.

So.. if you want it to do :)

Probably @Evgeny should agree with

Mh.. he didn't answer until now (I assume he should be highlighted by your answer and I have sent him a message in transifex). Any suggestions?

Sorry, please go ahead and create an informal translation based on German on transifex.
