Bug: The Preformatted Button Isn't Inserting pre tags

For my last post the pre-formatted text button didn't work, but when I typed in <pre>MY TEXT HERE</pre> it worked just fine. It would be nice if the horizontal scroll bar didn't appear as I pasted from a standard-sized terminal.

sorry, I did not understand this in the beginning. By "did not work" do you mean that you see the unexpected scroll bar?

I think the scroll bar appearance probably depends on the default browser styles. The preformatted text window does appear narrower than the answer area, so maybe that's the reason... Probably it warrants some improvement to the style sheet. Could you identify your browser/OS? I'll try to find a similar computer and check this out.

No need to apologize, thank you for looking at this. They are two separate issues: 1) Insertion Order Of 2nd Image In 2nd Edit. 2) No auto-sizing horizontally. Since I pasted from a standard terminal size, I think it shouldn't need horizontal scrolling when displayed IMHO.

I can't remember which computer I was using at the time, sorry. :(

Right now I have three browsers open, and I can think of two more possibilities. =) Probably Firefox though.

Suggestion: When a link is added, I think the askbot-markup-syntax should keep the link and its display text together. While the separation into footnotes/citations is nice, I think it can lead to confusion during quick edits.

Good idea, I'll put it in the code soon. Actually markdown allows that but the editor uses the insertion format that separates the link and the url.
