Better user sign in/sign up process (updated)

[question updated based from comments below]

i wish the whole flow of a new user asking a question was more elegant.

1) i think the button "Login/sign up to post" is rather confusing to users

2) Even users who want to login to post (with their existing Google/Yahoo/ etc account) are presented with yet ANOTHER page to fill out their screen name and email. I think this page is unnecessary and presents a barrier for many regular one-time users.

Thanks, what do you think is the problem? What do you suggest to change?

when a new user posts fills out his questions and click "login/sign up to post" he is redirected to a page with options to sign in. which is another additional step, id say it is a HUGE barrier to post a question for a new user. maybe a simple ReCaptcha form at the bottom of the question would be better (for unregistered users).

Is all what you mean by "better process" in this context - make "anonymous posting" possible? Anything else?

yes i guess, what i want is anonymous posting. but other than that. even if a user DOES want to sign in to post his question, the flow can be made simple. for instance, when a user choose Google to sign in, he is presented with yet ANOTHER page to fill his screen name and email., these additional pages should be eliminated for new and for users with existing accounts

Illustration would be awesome, thanks. If all you want here "anonymous posting" then make the title more specific :)
