Askbot search functions

Hello!

I am curious if it is possible to specify searches in askbot to "and" instead of "or".

For example: I want to search for banana milkshakes recipes. Atm I get separate search results for banana related recipes and milkshake related recipes.

Is there any way to specify searches for only banana milkshakes, and not related posts?

This analogy is not perfect, but hopefully you understand my question.

If there isn't already a way to specify searches like this - is there a way to change this back end?

Thanks for reading,

Henrik

Enter tag name in square brackets, those will be applied with and "AND" logic, e.g. "[banana] [strawberry] milkshake", this will return questions matching text milkshake, tagged both "banana" and "strawberry".

Full text search works by matching whole input to the text and using "AND" operator on all words will cause too few if any search results.

  • enter empty line after your previous text

Is there any way to use this bracket method for anything but tags? Tag searching can already be achieved by clicking "tagging".

No, the brackets search just by the tags.
