tag's url like cnprog

Hello,

This web site, http://qa.nmrwiki.org is powered by CNPROG, tag's url is http://qa.nmrwiki.org/tags/dosy/

It is better than http://askbot.org/en/questions/?tags=dosy

For search engines, The former is more like a content page, The latter is more like the search results page.

How can I get this tag's url?

Sorry for my poor english.

Thanks a lot.

Hello there, we will be changing the front page urls soon, but they won't be the same as in CNPROG, because in askbot navigation works a little differently.

In askbot it is possible to specify tags, search query and several more parameters at the same time, because of that it does not make sense to structure the urls the same way as in CNPROG.

  • enter empty line after your previous text

The user is correct, though, that the current tag URL is poor for SEO purposes, and the question mark should be removed. Since askbot has such good SEO out of the box, it would be great to make a minor change that allows better SEO.

Thank you, Joseph, you understand me. askbot has very good SEO except for tag's url.

The new tags still are not good for SEO purposes. The original CNProg version (http://qa.nmrwiki.org/tags/dosy/) was the best, because the tag was very early in the URL. This is important for SEO.

The problem is that we allow selection by multiple tags and not tags only. So maybe just focus on SEO-ing the actual content pages - the threads themselves? I am not sure how to make both urls very pretty and still have the same function of advanced search. Take a look at the current url - it does contain tags...
