How to upgrade to 0.7.40 ?
 
   
  
 
 
I have tried pip install askbot --upgrade but it's still showing it's 0.7.39
 
how can I check the version of askbot?

We have not yet made a 0.7.40 release, when we do - that version will appear on pypi. This could happen within two weeks.
