Not sure how to answer this question, actually. If you read articles about SEO most will recommend to create great content and make it available. The search engines are smart enough to detect various tricks which don't really work any more or if they do - will be effective only temporarily.
 
The best thing you can do IMO is to offer a site interesting to your users, maintain the content, be friendly to your users, promptly remove spam and block spammers accounts.

Thanks Evgeny, I agree with your opinion. What I am interested in though is from a technical perspective how askbot handles SEO. For example, I see that the URLS have friendly names which is great. Are there other things that you do to make sure the content is reachable and easily indexed?
