Links in Comments are not always as expected

A user posted a correct link in the comments let's say www.mysite.com and it also looks like www.mysite.com, but when you click on it you get this link http://www.mysite.com%3c/p%3E which is a wrong link. I tried to edit the link but it was posted correct by the user. Askbot has changed the link into the wrong one. It seems to be not always the case it appears somehow randomly.

Update:

The problem is still there: links in comments get an extra <p>, when placed at the end of the comment. so the links become wrong..

Are there some solutions? It is an very annoying bug for site visitirs and users.

I confirm this, this happen when you insert the link at the end of your comment text, not tested a lot but it looks like when the JS convert the text to URL.

This bug seems to persist in Askbot 0.7.58. Besides this bug report from 2013 there is also one on Github that has been closed for unknown reasons:

(It looks like am I not allowed to add links but it is issue #190 on Github)

I'm not sure about the 0.8 or 0.9 branch though. The only workaround is adding something other than a URL to the end.
