Unable to edit my answer to make it community wiki

I went to edit an answer that I had created to mark it as community wiki, but I noticed that the answer will not convert to CW, no matter how many times I edit it.

This only seems to apply when I edit a post; if I check the community wiki checkbox when I create the post. it becomes CW as expected.

This only seems to apply to answers, as I was able to edit this question and make it CW.

I created this answer without marking it as CW.

I then went back and edited it and tried to make it CW.

I tried a couple of times, just to be sure, including changing the text of the answer and providing an update summary. No dice.
