is askbot too basic for my needs?

I have been looking to update our webpage (Currently piecemeal static html, php-calendar, wiki, and webforms) to a CMS.

I saw the way askbot searched for questions, seemed like a combo of two of the systems we've been looking for, and possibly more.

FAQ and Helpdesk/knowledge base -- But it may still not be right

I see that it can integrate into wordpress, if we upgrade/migrate, some answers may be in actual wordpress posts. Will askbot search my site linking to relevant posts, and can it be made my default wordpress search engine?

Some questions may be sensitive. Is there a way to manage the posts making them private, or public. Heck, some of our questions are asked via web form, if there were a way to have some posts started via form/email, and made public later. Or even via an internal form, i.e. how can I join. This is why we looked at bug reporting software... instead of product and version number, you are looking for membership, guest, local, etc. (this is different than forum/askbot membership which is open)

It just seems a unified system is best, and the question system askbot uses gives/suggests answers that people asks is great, and not being a forum, allows other members to answer the questions so it is not like the same questions always being asked either of the admins, or forums.

We are a non-profit volunteer run group -- Not a single paid person, with non-profit status on file with the state (updated annually) We need a fairly simple and affordable system. (Webpage, calendar, faq/helpdesk/knowledgebase/bugzilla, form submission, project management/wiki.

We are currently working towards the "helpdesk" solution with askbot, including user groups, privacy, web-form submissions. FAQ application is within reach too.

Eventually we might include "simple pages/wiki", but we are not planning to add "calendar" and "project management" any time soon.
