Custom LDAP field for displayed username
I've got Askbot deployed with LDAP configured, and I'd like to change how users' names are displayed on the site. I'm using a unique identifier from LDAP for the login field (a number assigned to each user in our LDAP database), which the user logs in with.
I'd like to use a different LDAP field for the name which gets displayed on the site. The field already exists in our LDAP database, and is a combination of the forename and surname, plus some other data.
I've tried setting this field as the "Common Name" field, but it doesn't seem to have any effect, and the forename and surname are used instead.
Users must not be able to modify this name, and it will always come from this field in the LDAP database.
Is this possible in Askbot without modifying the source?
