Ask Fedora doesn't use celery and sends mails sync now. I requested Fedora infrastructure to enable it and there is some reluctance

mether: I haven't looked at the code -- I just know that implementing a celery infrastructure for one isolated feature isn't a good trade for us.

especially when there are other means to do it in the general case.
