Is it possible to subscribe to a question to recieve emails?

If I ask a question or provide a answer or a comment, I would like to receive email notifications for that automatically but also even if I haven't interacted, a "subscribe" option would be useful if in case I am interested in following that discussion passively.

Yes underneath the question there is "Notify me" checkbox (probably should be shown more prominently) and in your settings, "subscriptions" section you can chose what to subscribe for. In addition, notifications can be filtered by tag preferences.

On this site though I do not run weekly/daily notifications yet, but I will.

Instant updates work though - that's how I know when there is something new posted on askbot.

I did see the "notify me" checkbox but the wording wasn't clear on whether it will send me updates on all questions or just this one. Perhaps making that explicit would be helpful

Yes there are several classes of subscriptions - handpicked questons, asked by you, answered by you, everything (tag filtered).

I think the "notify me" should really be changed to subscribe me and moved to the sidebar. I really prefer the way OSQA has designed this. Btw, it would be always useful to have a border and a different background for the sidebar and also border around different elements (tags, related questions etc) on the sidebar. That makes it much more obvious where to focus

I agree with you, it looks better on the sidebar.
