Is it possible to access the django shell to programmatically make bulk changes on a hosted instance? I need to Block a large number of spam generated users but I don't know if I can do this on the host site. I've been using the /admin webUI but I have a large number to modify.

Similar to the other question "spambot-registrered-1000-users-command-to-delete-last-1000-users", except how do you access that API on a hosted instance? I have hundreds of bot created users that I want to block. How do you do that programmatically if you can't access the backend directly?

We recently started getting a ton of bounced emails due to accounts created by spam bots that were subscribed to All Questions. Is there anyway to bulk block a large number of accounts? I'd rather not have to block them individually.

We were getting a ton of users created by spammers too. Depending on which version of Askbot software you're running, you can enable the ReCapatcha feature (under Settings > Keys for external services) for both user creation and question submissions. If you enable those two features, it should cut down on the number of spam users and posts.

I have a similar issue too. I turned off moderation in favor of auditing and the email notifications stopped working. Do you only get notified if you turn on moderation?

I'm customizing my Askbot hosted site via the configuration options. How do I access profile variables like the user's name or userid for custom web pages? Example, I'm editing the Help page text. Is there a way to add the user's name into the help page?
